The reason it is called noonday devotion is because my first ever devotion was sent out at midday

The Life-Giving Stream
Every living creature which swarms where the river flows will live; there will be many fish, for these waters flow there. - Ezek 47:9 NET
The living waters, in the prophet’s vision, flowed into the Dead Sea and carried life with them, even into that stagnant lake. Where grace goes, spiritual life is the immediate and the everlasting consequence. Grace proceeds sovereignly according to the will of God, even as a river in all its windings follows its own sweet will; and wherever it comes it does not wait for life to come to it, but it creates life by its own quickening flow. Oh, that it would pour along our streets and flood our slums! Oh, that it would now come into my house and rise till every chamber were made to swim with it! Lord, let the living water flow to my family and my friends, and let it not pass me by. I hope I have drunk of it already; but I desire to bathe in it, yea, to swim in it. O my Savior, I need life more abundantly. Come to me, I pray Thee, till every part of my nature is vividly energetic and intensely active. Living God, I pray Thee, fill me with Thine own life.
I am a poor, dry stick; come and make me so to live that, like Aaron’s rod, I may bud and blossom and bring forth fruit unto Thy glory. Quicken me, for the sake of my Lord Jesus. Amen.

Hello Joanie, I just now opened Faith Book and seen your response. Thank you with all my heart for your word. The Lord is sewing a piece of fabric that have all sorts of frayed pieces, long and short strands, colors not matching in my family right now, and yet, He holds the future, He feeds the cattle on a 1,000 hills. One day this tapestry will turn out to be a beautiful picture. And yet, as each day goes by, I need HIS strength to make it through. Thank you JESUS for the victory of the CROSS.
Good afternoon Noonday group. Going through a very heartbreaking trial. Telling myself that God is faithful, He will never leave me nor forsake me. "Have no fear, for HE is with me". An opportunity to reach for the hem of HIS garmet, for Him to reach for me and tell me, "It is well with my Soul". All will cease in HIS timing, to bring Glory and Honor to HIM.
Please pray for me all. I am in need of God's mercy and protection more than ever. I need Jesus, the Prince of Peace, to give me the peace my body and my spirit needs because Satan has been attacking like never before and I felt so out of control that I felt like screaming at the top of my lungs. I feel the walls of everyone's expectations of me rising higher and closing in more and more
MAKING PROMISES :
The topic of today’s word is Making Promises.— We begin today with this from Matthew 5:33-37, “Again you have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not swear falsely, but shall perform to the Lord what you have sworn.’ But I say to you, Do not take an oath at all, either by heaven, for it is the throne of God, or by the earth, for it is his footstool, or by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the great King. And do not take an oath by your head, for you cannot make one hair white or black. Let what you say be simply ‘Yes’ or ‘No’; anything more than this comes from evil.” — And in 1 John 1:9, God writes, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” — Next, we read this in Numbers 23:19, “God is not man, that he should lie, or a son of man, that he should change his mind. Has he said, and will he not do it? Or has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it?” — And from 2 Peter 3:15-16 we read, “And count the patience of our Lord as salvation, just as our beloved brother Paul also wrote to you according to the wisdom given him, as he does in all his letters when he speaks in them of these matters. There are some things in them that are hard to understand, which the ignorant and unstable twist to their own destruction, as they do the other Scriptures.” — Finally, God writes to us in Hebrews 13:5, “Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” — There is an old expression that a “promise made is a debt unpaid.” How are you at keeping the promises you make? Are you inspired by God to keep them? Write to me… And, remember to always keep love, life and laughter in your heart and the world will smile with you........
"He has shown you, O man, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God." — Micah 6:8
Sometimes what we need to do is very simple and plain, isn't it? I need to handle those around me justly -- practicing patience and dealing with others in fairness, without partiality. I need to practice mercy -- blessing others in need with what they don't deserve but so greatly need. I need to walk humbly with my Abba Father -- knowing that without his grace and help I will fail.
Father, please make of me what you will. As you fashion me, please bless me as I seek to be a person of justice, mercy, and humility. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
—Matthew 7:7
God wants us to seek his blessings. This is not because he wants to manipulate our lives, but because he longs to bless us and have us know the gifts in our lives come from him. So let's seek his presence, his grace, and his blessing.
Dear Father, I do need your blessing and guidance. Please bless me in several areas that weigh heavily on my heart... (share with God some things that are on your heart). In addition, dear Father, I need your wisdom in the following matters... Finally, dear God, please make your presence in my life very clear to me this week. I don't doubt your love for me, but I really do need to be reassured of your nearness as I face the challenges that lie before me at this time. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
