Hi Kelly, Sorry to hear you have hit a rough patch in your life. Not knowing your circumstances, I cannot offer any advice regarding you having a boyfriend and what the problem is with that. However, questioning your faith is not in itself a bad thing. Questioning and searching out the answers leds to a deeper understanding of anything, whether it be Scriptures or secular studies. When we look back on God's promises and fulfillments in the Old Covenant, we have that surety that our standing is secure in Him. All that is required of us is to believe on what was done by Yeshua by His death and Ressurection and enter God's rest so that the Holy Spirit might transform us - not by anything we can do or try to do in our own strength, but by His Power. It is simple to say, but 'working it out' is another matter. Don't loose heart Kelly, keep reading the Bible and I know you will get your answers and that peace in your heart.
Every blessing,
Peter

I also have a family that doesn't agree with me having a boyfriend, even if he's a Christian. They believe that it will lead to sex before marriage. If I would have a boyfriend and my family found out,I know they would question my faith.I agree with everyone else that, doubt can bring you closer to God.If you start searching out answers from God,He will answer you and your relationship with Him will be strengthened. You will experience like you've never had before. He will bring reassurance.Just don't condemn yourself,it's ok.God is faithful to bring you out of this dry patch in your life, when it's time.

Hello there my young friend.

I just want to take this opportunity to give you some encouragement and some future hope....We all go through periods of testing and growth and its something that we go through time and time again...however we go through this not because we are wrong or bad but because GOD LOVES US VERY MUCH and He knows our potential and our future....He will use all situation in our lives to test us...and yes I agree its sore and not nice at all....But please remember also that your parents really have you best will at heart even though they may seem unreasonable to you...

Missy B also makes such an amazing point when she says "When I went through a dry time and really looked for answers...my faith became my own instead of my parents." because this is such an important thing to go through and develope...We each have to find our values and faith for ourselves....

My dear I think that you are wonderfully safe and secure in Our Lord despite your crisis in faith and maybe because of it...Your question here is testimony to you searching out the truth....

So God Bless you...
Shalom
